Card of the Day: Three of Cups, Crystal Visions by Jennifer Galasso

3 Cups, Crystal VisionsMy card of the day is drawn from one of my own treasured decks; my interpretation is drawn from my intuition and from my many years of experience as a professional tarot reader.

Each time I read in this way, I add to my own experience of the arcana, the journey is evolutionary. I hope that my reflections will add something to your own understanding of this mystical and ancient craft.

But first, the crystal that chose to guide me today is:

AventurineAventurine: a stone for the gentle heart, dissolving negative energy it  brings in emotional harmony and clarity.  Psychologically, it can guide you back into the past to find sources of dis-ease.

Three Cups:

A circle of friends sit beside a moonlit lilly pond, each holding a chalice.

There is an abundance of positivity in this image.  The Moon is full signifying abundance, fertility, fulfilment and accomplishment.  The lillies are white, for purity and compassion, for love and healing.

The cloth of the friends’ gowns appears to me to be spun of moonlight: possibly I am simply being fanciful, yet it does have a certain irridescent quality.

The chalices – well, we do not know what is within.  Perhaps they contain their dreams, their visions of the future.

The lake reflects a rainbow of colours, suggesting that their chakras are balanced and in total harmony.

Friendship, harmony, celebrations, love.

But, what if this card should appear in a negative position in your spread, what would we say then?

Each card of the Arcana has the potential to show both positive and negative qualities, but happy cards like this are often more challenging to interpret.

Lets use the Aventurine for a guide.  The stone person reminds us that it clears negativty and that it balances lack of harmony.  It heals migraine headaches.

That should have warned me of my own day-long headache, when combined with the card and the aura I see reflected in the still waters of the lilly pond.  Remember, a simple card of the day may be very direct in telling you something quite mundane in the physical world!

The moon is at its fullest; this means that soon it will begin to wane, so at the very least, we should take time out now to enjoy simple pleasures, tomorrow we may have less pleasant matters to attend to.  Remember, the moon is mysterious and difficult to comprehend – and changeable like our emotions.

Do you see the dragonfly above the still water?  The dragonfly lives most of its life in ignorance of the gift of flight.  We too tend to live much of our short spans on this beautiful planet unaware of our own gifts or the talents of those we hold most dear in our hearts.

Let us today be thankful – for our friends and our families – and let us take time out from our busy activities to say to them, You are of value to me.

“Each morning we are born again.  What we do today is what matters most”.  Buddha
