Card of the Day 23

Each day, I will draw a card from a different deck and post here my reflections

7 Cups, Celtic Dragon Tarot

This is the first of two cards which appeared for me today, from this beautiful dragon tarot.

So many ideas, so much emotion, confusion and uncertainty.

The wise dragon looks on at his companion, possibly with distain at his apparent inability to make a choice.

We cannot have everthing: decisions must be made, a path must be chosen, or our inspiration will dissipate and all that is left is a daydream that was never born.

Quieten your busy mind and decide what is important, it may not be as difficult as you think.

Death, Celtic Dragon

Never a popular card but really, Death is just another doorway, a transition if you like.

We all fear change; sometimes its painful and we try to put off the reality, but in the end, like the Death of the body, it is something we cannot avoid.

But look how beautiful this dragon is, as he sheds his old skin.

Perhaps we must also cross that barrier into a new beginning, and shed the skin of the past so that we may begin a new journey.

The Dragon roars triumpantly as he rises phoneix like from the torn shreds of his old life.

His silver coat represents the wisdom he has aquired throughout his lifetimes; he is ancient but vigorous, his experiences have made him stronger.

Allow yourself to cast off something that is outworn and no longer serves you, so that you too may enjoy a new experience.
